The Lenox Crew team is one of the few high school crew programs in the state of Massachusetts. The program is open to students in the 8th-12th grade. We have rowers from both Lenox Memorial Middle and High School and Monument Mountain High School. The team competes in regattas around the Northeast. Some of the locations we travel to for races are: Manchster NH, Middletown CT, Saratoga Springs NY, and Holyoke MA, to name just a few. We have two seasons, spring and Fall. The Spring competitions are sprint races(1500 meters) against area high schools finishing with the Western Ma. Championships. The Fall races are regatta's (3 miles) and are involve clubs, schools, and colleges. Our major fall regatta is the Head of the Fish in Saratoga Springs NY, which is one of the largest regattas in the country.

The challenge for this type of program is gaining the funding for equipment. In the Fall of 2010, after a fund raising drive by the boosters, the team was able to purchase two new four man boats at cost of more then 16k. These boats are a tremendous addition to our program since most of our existing equipment is older, heavier, and in need of regular repair. The Lenox Crew Team is a wonderful coed program that has students running, rowing, working out at Berkshire West, and learning the value of team work.
